Provide enhanced DSNY services

To address persistent illegal dumping in Jamaica, the City will fund Department of Sanitation staff time to allow additional sanitation routes in the neighborhood’s most affected areas. This infusion of service will complement Council Member Williams’ Clean NYC initiative funding, which enables from 3 to 5 weekly cleaning routes, varying seasonally throughout the year. Together with the member’s Clean NYC funding, the City’s additional funding will enable Jamaica to receive 6 weekly cleaning routes consistently throughout the year.

Funding: $120 thousand expense in FY26, $145 thousand expense baselined starting in FY27
