Study street lighting under key LIRR underpasses

DOT will evaluate street lighting located under key underpasses (i.e. 150th Street, 158th Street, 160th Street, Guy R. Brewer Blvd., 165th Street, Merrick Blvd, and Beaver Street) within the City’s jurisdiction along the LIRR elevated line on Archer Avenue btw Sutphin Blvd. and Merrick Blvd. for potential upgrades within a future contract. Street lighting attached to the LIRR elevated line along Archer Avenue btw Sutphin Blvd. and Merrick Blvd. are within LIRR’s jurisdiction.
