Having secured seed funding, initial concepts for landscaping upgrades at York College will be developed in FY26 to fully define funding needs.

The City commits to providing $5.75 million in capital funds to CUNY provided that the projects are determined to be capitally eligible pursuant to the City Comptroller’s directive 10.
York College will improve grounds around the campus, especially at the Academic Core Building entry points. The project will make the campus barrier-free and ADA accessible from the sidewalk to the building entry doors. And it will update the campus’ curb appeal with new seating, pathways, and vegetation.
