Relocate the Jackson Senior Center

The Allen AME Theodora Jackson Older Adult Center has operated under a City lease at 92-47 165th Street, Jamaica since the 1970s. This 18,253 square foot center offers prepared meals from its full commercial kitchen, and a dining room accommodating up to 226 people for meals, gatherings, dances and parties. There is ample space for additional activities such as: art, computers, exercise, playing pool and educational programming. Private offices provide space for much needed case work and case management as well as mental health assistance. DCAS will continue to work with NYC Aging to find a location within Jamaica that suits the Center’s needs and the City’s.
