Statement from Source Document / POA

This project will address numerous site issues at Jamaica Center for Performing Arts: the removal and resetting of red brick pavement outside of the facility, the trimming and / or bridging of tree roots, the regrading and reseeding of the lawn surrounding the existing fountain, a redesign of outdoor lighting, and the installation of ADA-compliant ramps on the East side of the site and the left side of the building’s front entrance. As part of DCLA’s Percent for Art program, this project will also include a monument to Billie Holiday, commemorating her lasting contributions to music, installed in the neighborhood she called home.

Funding: $7.2 million
