DOHMH is committed to expand TRC access to Jamaica through an RFP process. DOHMH is gathering information to inform next steps, including visits to each of the existing TRCs and preliminary discussions about potential location.

Trauma recovery centers (TRCs) provide trauma-informed support to help people who experienced violent crimes, including gun violence, domestic abuse, and hate crimes. DOHMH operates five TRCs in the City, including two in the Bronx, two in Brooklyn, and one citywide as City Council discretionary funding initiatives. DOHMH will award a contract to create and operate a TRC in the Jamaica Study Area.
Funding: $1.2 million per year expense for three years
