NYC Parks received funding to advance this project. Design is anticipated to begin in fiscal year 2029.
Statement from Source Document / POA
Currently an undeveloped park space, the site at 138th Street and the Van Wyck Expressway, just south of Hillside Avenue, has potential to be completely reimagined to provide usable park amenities to activate the site for community use. In consultation with community, NYC Parks will determine a capital scope to activate the park, which could include amenities such as new seating, landscaping, and lighting.
