Design a new park at 142nd Street & 107th Avenue

Currently vacant, two City-owned lots totaling 0.34 acres hold vast potential for a complete transformation into a brand-new public park. Located near a stretch of Liberty Avenue that is expected to grow as a result of the rezoning, with funding through the Jamaica Neighborhood Plan, the creation of this new open space would close a walk to a park gap, bringing existing and new residents within walking distance of a park for the first time. It would also make Norelli-Hargreaves Playground more accessible by creating mid-block connectivity to the existing park and its active recreation amenities.
