Alongside the Van Wyck Expressway at 115th Avenue, Dr. Charles Drew Playground is a haven for active recreation opportunities, notably used for the fast-growing sport of cricket. City Council has dedicated funding to reconstruct the natural turf field here, which will ensure that Southern Queens’ sports enthusiasts have a reliable space for games, practice, and drills.
