Statement from Source Document / POA

King Manor Museum is the historic residence of Rufus King, a founding father, antislavery advocate and early resident of Jamaica. Located within Rufus King Park, the house is integral to the history and identity of the neighborhood. To make the museum more accessible and welcoming to neighborhood residents as well as visitors, the Historic House Trust has undertaken a restoration project utilizing existing funds. This project will construct a new, universally accessible museum entrance, restore the house’s period rooms and exterior facade, and modify the surrounding landscape to improve accessibility and drainage.

Funding: Over $8 million
