Build community resiliency through new Climate Strong Communities program

Creating a climate resilient and environmentally just Jamaica has been one of the Neighborhood Plan's core goals. To advance this, the Mayor's Office of Climate and Environmental Justice has identified Jamaica as a Climate Strong Communities neighborhood for Year 3 of the program. Building upon the work of the Neighborhood Plan, the Climate Strong Communities program will evaluate adaptation solutions and develop grant applications for climate infrastructure projects that will aim to build the climate resiliency of the neighborhood.
