Increase access to downpayment assistance

The HomeFirst Down Payment Assistance Program provides first-time homebuyers with up to $100,000 toward the down payment or closing costs on a 1-4 family home, condominium or cooperative in New York City. To improve access to homeownership opportunities for Jamaica residents, the City will partner with a local HomeFirst counseling agency, to hold a first-time homebuyer class and resources fair. HPD will also work with local Council Members’ Offices and community-based organizations to jointly develop a grassroots outreach plan to reach the diverse Jamaica community
