Explore redevelopment of the Harvest Room and Jamaica Market

As Greater Jamaica Development Corporation (GJDC) works to develop the parking garage on Queens Block 9756, Lot 18 as a new mixed-use, affordable and homeownership project, the City will work with GJDC to explore activating Lots 40 (City-owned, leased by EDC to GJDC), 54 (co-owned by the City and GJDC) & 60 (owned by GJDC), collectively the Harvest Room and Jamaica Market parcels. Should a redevelopment advance, the City will ensure that it includes affordable housing and a new event space to be managed and operated by GJDC and/or project designees.
